Konstanz is an attractive city in Southern Germany situated on Lake Constance at the border to Switzerland. The nearest and most convenient airport is Zürich (Switzerland) which has a frequent train service, taking about one hour.

The medieval town of Konstanz has many historic buildings including the seat of the Council of Konstanz (1414-1418). Nearby are the islands of Mainau and Reichenau renowned for their beautiful gardens and old churches. Further touristic attractions include excursions on Lake Constance and to the mountains of the Swiss and Austrian Alps.
